Localization

Localization

This guide covers language, date/time, timezone, and currency settings in Timetics, and what each one actually affects.

Overview

Localization controls the language, date/time format, timezone, and currency shown across your dashboard and booking page. It’s separate from white labelling (logo, colors, custom domain) and does not affect confirmation emails or SMS, which are always sent in English no matter what language you use.

Supported Languages

English (default), French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Vietnamese, Bengali.

What Affects Localization

Dashboard language

  • Switch your language from the top bar. This only changes what you see when logged in, not what your customers see.
  • Not available in the internal admin panel, which always stays in English.

Booking page language

  • The booking page can technically display in different languages, but there’s currently no switcher on it for your customers to pick a language. Visitors see whatever language they already have set from a previous visit, defaulting to English.
  • There’s a workspace language setting in your account, but it isn’t hooked up to anything yet, so it has no effect on what customers see.

Date format, time format, timezone

  • Set under Settings → Timezone & Language. These control how dates and times look across your dashboard and booking confirmations.
  • Your workspace timezone defaults to UTC. Separately, visitors on your booking page can pick their own timezone so available time slots show correctly for them. This doesn’t change your workspace’s timezone setting.

Currency

  • One fixed currency per workspace, set in the same Timezone & Language settings.
  • Every visitor sees prices in that currency; it doesn’t change based on where they’re located.

Right-to-left languages

Not supported right now. None of the currently available languages need it.

What Localization Does NOT Cover

  • Confirmation, reminder, cancellation, reschedule, and payment emails: always sent in English.
  • SMS notifications: also always in English.
  • Internal admin panel: always English.
  • Branding: logo, colors, custom domain, and removing “Powered by Timetics” are part of white labelling, not localization.

Known Limitations

  • You can’t force your booking page into a specific language for customers. It currently follows whatever language a visitor already happens to have.
  • New visitors always see English by default. There’s no automatic detection based on their browser or region.
  • Turning on a language for your dashboard has no effect on emails or SMS; those stay in English either way.

FAQ

If I change my dashboard language, does my booking page change too?

No. Your dashboard language only affects your own view. Your booking page’s language is separate and not something you can control yet.

Can I show different prices in different currencies depending on where the customer is?

No. Currency is one fixed setting per workspace, shown the same way to everyone.

Will confirmation emails go out in my customer’s language?

No. Emails and SMS are always sent in English today.

Can I turn on a right-to-left language like Arabic or Hebrew?

Not yet. This isn’t supported.
