How Do I Set Up My Workspace Profile

What is the Workspace Profile?

The Workspace Profile is your workspace’s public identity in Timetics AI. It controls important information guests see when they visit your public profile or booking pages.

Go to Settings → Profile to manage your account type, industry, workspace username, business name, designation, description, and social media links.

Profile is the first page under Workspace Settings and is one of the first areas you should configure after creating a workspace.

Why Do You Need It?

  • Build a professional booking presence: Add your business name, designation, and description instead of showing an incomplete profile.
  • Create recognizable booking URLs: Your workspace username becomes part of your public profile and booking links.
  • Explain what you do: Use the description to introduce yourself or your business before guests book.
  • Connect your social profiles: Give visitors quick access to your social channels from your public pages.
  • Keep your workspace identity consistent: The information configured here is reused across your public Timetics AI experience.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Profile Page

Click the gear icon in the left rail and open Profile.

You can also go directly to /settings/profile.

Step 2: Choose an Account Type

Select the account type that best represents how you use the workspace.

Account TypeUse It When
PersonalYou are taking bookings as an individual
BusinessYou are taking bookings on behalf of a company or business

Step 3: Select Your Industry

Choose the category that best describes your work or business.

  • Personal Use
  • Service Agency
  • Coaching
  • Consulting
  • Law Firm
  • Beauty and Salon
  • Barber Shop
  • Restaurant
  • Event Planning
  • Tutoring
  • Advisor & Mentor
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Recruitment
  • Agent & Insurance
  • Other

The industry selection is used to tailor defaults and recommendations. It does not restrict the features available to your workspace.

Step 4: Set Your Username

Your Username is your workspace handle and becomes part of your public URLs.

For example, if your username is tour, your public profile can use /tour, while a calendar such as Discovery Call can use /tour/discovery-call.

A link labelled This is your workspace handle appears below the field and points to the workspace handle guide.

Important: Changing your username changes your public URLs. Previously shared booking links, embeds, and QR codes using the old handle will no longer point to the new address.

Step 5: Enter Your Business Name

Enter the name you want displayed on your public profile page.

The Business Name is also used as the workspace name throughout the dashboard.

Step 6: Add Your Designation

Add your professional title or role, such as Product Strategist & Growth Advisor.

Your designation appears under your name on booking pages alongside your profile information.

Step 7: Write Your Description

Use the rich text editor to add an introduction to your workspace profile.

The editor supports formatting options including bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, lists, links, images, text alignment, and colour.

Your description appears as introductory content on your public profile page. It can also be used as the fallback meta description for the profile page.

Keep the opening sentence clear and useful because HTML formatting is removed when the description is used for metadata.

Step 8: Add Social Media Links

Scroll to the Social Media section to connect your social profiles.

Supported platforms include Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, and Telegram.

These links appear as clickable icons on your public pages. Learn more.

Step 9: Save Your Changes

Click Save changes at the bottom of the Profile page.

The button saves the entire profile form, including your account type, industry, username, business name, designation, description, and social media links.

After a successful save, your public profile is revalidated so the updated information can appear on the next refresh.

Key Functionality

Profile Settings Save Together

The Workspace Profile works as one form. Account type, industry, username, business name, designation, description, and social links are submitted together when you click Save changes.

Username Is Checked Only When Changed

The username is only submitted for a uniqueness check when you actually change it. Saving other profile information does not trigger an unnecessary username check.

Public Pages Are Revalidated

After a successful profile update, Timetics AI revalidates your public pages. This allows updated profile information to appear without waiting for the normal page cache to expire.

Permissions Control Editing

Users without the settings.update permission can view the profile but cannot edit it.

In this state, dropdowns are disabled, inputs are read only, the rich text editor is locked, and the Save changes button is hidden.

Prerequisites

  • The settings.read permission to access the Workspace Profile page
  • The settings.update permission to edit and save profile information

Important Notes

  • Choose your username carefully. Changing it changes previously shared public booking URLs, embeds, and QR codes.
  • Your description is stored as HTML. When it is used as a meta description, the HTML is removed.
  • Business Name and Full Name are different. Business Name belongs to the workspace. Your personal Full Name is managed under Admin Console → Account Settings and is used as the host name on bookings.
  • Workspace Profile settings belong to the active workspace. If you belong to multiple workspaces, switch to the correct workspace before editing the profile.
  • Industry does not restrict functionality. Choose the closest category or select Other when none of the available options fit.
